Participant access settings allow you to control who can submit files to your dropbox. You can accept files from anyone with a UW NetID, or you can restrict access to the dropbox to a specific set of UW NetIDs.

Follow the steps below to set participant access:

1. From the Collect It home page, under "Dropboxes you own" or "Dropboxes in which you collaborate," click the name of the dropbox with which you want to work. You will move to the dropbox home page.
2. Click Access & Roles in the Manage dropbox panel at the upper right. You will move to the "Manage Access & Roles" page.
3. In the gray "Participants" panel on the left side, select one of the following access options for submitting files to your dropbox:
   Anyone with a UW NetID
   Members of a specific group (Group Manager)

Anyone with a UW NetID

1. In the "Participants" panel on the left side, select Anyone with a UW NetID.
2. When you are done making changes, click Save at the bottom of the page to move on to the "Access & Roles" summary page. If you would like to discard changes you have made, click Cancel to return to the dropbox home page.

Members of a specific group (Group Manager)

1. In the "Participants" panel on the left side, select Members of a specific group (Group Manager). A list of your groups will appear.
2. Select an existing group or click Create a new group. Follow these instructions to create a new group.
   When creating a group in Group Manager, you can select a course you are teaching to automatically add all registered students to your group. Group Manager will update the group members nightly, as students add or drop your course. If a student needs access before the update, you can add them by entering their UW NetID manually.
3. When finished, click Save at the bottom of the page to move on to the "Access & Roles" summary page, or click Cancel to discard your changes and return to the dropbox home page.
