Enter Group Manager
Enter Group Manager.
From your Catalyst Tools account, under Shared Resources, click the Group Manager "View and Edit" button. You will move to the Group Manager home page.
The Group Manager home page displays a list of all your current groups, the number of members in each group, and the number of Catalyst tools using each group. To go to a detailed summary of a group, click the group name. To view a list of group members' UW NetIDs, click the number in the "Members" column. To view which Catalyst tools use a group, click the number of tools in the "Usage" column.
Overview of Group Manager.
Below is a brief overview of the Group Manager home page and the Group Summary page. Read this section and review the figures to get familiar with Group Manager and learn how to navigate through the tool.
Group Manager home page: After entering Group Manager from you Catalyst account, you will move to the Group Manager home page (see figure at the right). To get started, click Create a new group. To view an existing group, click the group name, and you will move to the Group Summary.
To quickly view the names of your group members, click the number in the "Members" column. A new window that displays a list of group member names and usernames will open. To see which of your Catalyst tools currently use a group, click the # tools link in the "Used by" column. A new window will open and display a list of each Catalyst tool that uses that group, such as a GoPost board or Portfolio project.
Group Summary page: Click the name of a group to move to the Group Summary (see figure to the right). The Group Summary displays details about your group and allows you to make changes to the group. Use the "Viewing" drop down menu at the top to quickly move to another group's summary page.
Use the links to the right of the group name to Copy or Delete the group. To make changes to the group membership or description, click Edit.
You can create and modify subgroups by clicking Edit in the "Subgroups" section.
Use the show and hide links to view more details about your group's members, subgroups, or linked Catalyst tools.
