A GoPost message board is a great way to facilitate discussion amongst project group members. A message board allows colleagues to discuss meeting topics and project progress online, respond to each other's comments, and share ideas. Documents can be attached to message postings, making GoPost a quick way to share files.

This document describes how to create a GoPost discussion board and link it to your project site.

Link your discussion board to your project site

To link your message board to your project site, follow these steps:

1. Return to SimpleSite by clicking SimpleSite in the left navigation menu.
2. On the SimpleSite Home page, choose your project site from the "Available Web sites" drop-down menu, select Work on this Web site and then click Next.
3. To add a link to the GoPost discussion board to the global navigation, select the global navigation file (such as navigation.shtml) from the file tree in the left pane. The "Page summary" will appear in the right pane.
4. From the Editing options, select Edit content. The global navigation will open for editing.
5. To add another link, click Add link ; a new link toolbar will appear at the bottom of the group.
6. Enter the link text in the space provided in the link toolbar.
7. Click Edit link . The "Insert/Modify Link" dialog box will appear.

8. Click Link to one of your Catalyst tools, expand the tree, and then locate your new GoPost discussion board. Click the title of the message board, and the path will appear in the URL field.
9. Enter text you want to appear when someone hovers over your link in the "Title" area.
10. Click OK. The link to the GoPost discussion board has been added.
11. Click Save and Close. Pages using this global navigation will now automatically include a link to the GoPost discussion board.
