The Digital Presentation Studio: Getting Started
Log into the Presentation Laptop using your UWNetID.
Turn on the plasma TV.
Log into the Control Station using your UWNetID.
On the Control Station, select the quality of your production. In order for your file to be playable on an iPod Video™, choose medium for the production quality.
Once the DPS Controller software has loaded, verify your affiliation with the UW. For those with more than one UW affiliation, this step will determine which server hosts your video.
To begin recording your presentation, click the Record/Start button.
When finished recording, click the Publish/Stop button.
Type in a one word name and click the Publish button to save your presentation, or click the Discard button to delete it. If you select Publish, the media will be posted to your account and an email address to access it mailed to your UW Net ID e-mail.

The plasma display does not match what you see on the laptop screen. | Check that laptop display preferences are set to mirror. |
The plasma display is black. | Check the power button on the lower left hand of the display / make sure the display settings on the left hand side of the screen are set to VGA |
