Design work on the MyUW teaching and student class schedule channels has recently been completed. The new designs will integrate online course resources into a "one-stop shopping" experience. Design decisions were based on a Catalyst research team study of faculty and student use of course-related resources in MyUW (PDF). This usability study triangulated data from interviews, a survey, and server log statistics to ensure a clear understanding of usage patterns and usability issues. The new student and teaching schedule channels, shown below alongside the current channels, await implementation by OIM's Student Database team. The teaching channel is slated for release in time for Spring Quarter 2008.
