Catalyst will customize any of our regular workshop offerings to meet the needs of your group. If you have a group of faculty, staff, or students on campus who would like to expand their technology skills, just contact us to arrange a custom workshop that meets their needs and fits their schedule.

You can arrange a custom workshop about any of the following topics:

• Overview of Catalyst services and resources
• Catalyst Web tools
• Digital audio or video
• Graphics
• Web publishing
• Documentation and data management software
• Computing fundamentals

How to arrange a custom workshop

To schedule a customized workshop, send an email message to catalysthelp@u.washington.edu or call (206) 897-1999. Please include the topic, audience, number of attendees, date, time, and location of the workshop in your message.

We ask that you reserve a computer classroom for the custom workshop. The classroom should have a machine for everyone who will be attending, and an instructor computer attached to a projector. If you do not have a computer classroom available in your unit or department, you can request a Catalyst classroom (fees might apply).

We require a minimum of six attendees and about two weeks notice to schedule a workshop. Please note: Scheduling and availability of custom workshops depends upon the availability of instructors.

Some custom workshops are free of charge, however, a small fee may apply for others. Please send an email to catalysthelp@u.washington.edu for more information.
